FW Thorpe Plc (Thorpe) acquired the majority of the share capital of LED specialist SchahlLED Lighting (SchahlLED) from Active Capital Company (ACC) and management in September 2022. ACC, together with management, invested in SchahlLED in 2019 and supported the company in the implementation of several strategic initiatives during the past years. Driven by multiple add-on acquisitions and a defined strategic sales focus, the company achieved very strong growth and is today the preferred LED solution provider to many manufacturing and logistics players in Germany.

Becoming part of the Thorpe Group, launches the next growth phase for SchahlLED, especially for pan-European expansion. Managing Directors Bernd von Doering and Erich Obermeier comment: “Active Capital Company really helped us to transform SchahlLED into an industrial LED player serving many blue-chip customers and we enjoyed working with the team very much.
